Recently stayed at an. AirBnB across the street from this cafe. Went in there all 3 days of our stay. My son and I decided we would try different pastries each visit and, super glad we did. They were are all delicious. My overly zealous CC company flagged our first visit and last visit as possible fraud, so the transactions were declined. The lovely crew was so patient and friendly with both instances. The young Japanese lady actually laughed the last time it happened, "poor guy this happened the first day, too!" When the cashier looked at her confused, she responded, "Oh, they come in here every day," like we were locals. Just another great interpersonal experience on our trip. Did I mention the pastries were delicious???
Had the best Ube mochi croissant today. The pastry was fresh, crispy, flaky and filled with delicious Ube mochi. I hope they never discontinue it and wish they made other flavors like Matcha or even Pandan!
I came in after grocery shopping for a little afternoon treat. I ordered an ube-flavored pastry and an iced tea lemonade. The pastry was great (not that sweet, which is perfect for me) and the iced tea lemonade was sour and exactly what I needed on a warm day. There seem to be a huuuuge variety of macarons and pastries available, good to know that this place exists for future sweet treat opportunities
ICI deserves 5 because, not only does it do the classics well, it also has fun and funky flavors and products that are delicious. The mushroom cheesesteak croissant is life changing. The lavender lemonade is perfectly sweet and tart. The prices for both these items felt incredible fair too. If I had anything negative to say, it would be that I wish there was more seating. As this is Philly though, I'm not bothered that there isn't a whole lot. The cafe is cute and clean. I can picture myself going anytime I'm in the area. It was great!!
The pastries are amazing - kouign amans and croissants. Customer service excellent! Can't wait to return (not from the area).
The pastries? Divine. The macaroons? Perfect. The coffee? Wonderful. The best dirty chai I've had! So glad this spot reopened! Their later in the day hours are also nice for those of us who need an afternoon pick me up. Seating is limited, but there's a nice park around the corner that is nice to hang out in after picking up your coffee and pastries.
I love their selection of pastries! They have unique flavors and a wide variety of croissants. They sell out quick so you gotta go early to get the popular ones. Also there are mannyyy macarons for sale as well. Only downside was that there is very limited seating.
Greatly enjoyed the delicious croissant and cruffin we got at ICI Macarons & Cafe. Needed a lil'pick-me-up, and these treats hit the spot. The cafe itself is small, but bright, and service was prompt and pleasant, though it was bustling on a cold and rainy afternoon.
